 1. If I were an English teacher for 3rd graders, I would employ data collection tools through the means of quick and easy/game-like quizzes. Small quizzes would give me an idea of where my students are in terms of the curriculum and where they need more help. Another way I can use data collection tools is by sending out surveys to parents asking how their child manages the work assigned at home. It could include questions like, "How often does your child ask for assistance," "How often does your child seem to get distracted by technology while completing assignments," etc. 

2. A topic that I thought was interesting to read about in my classmate's blogs was everyone's experience with COVID-19. It fascinates me that everyone had such different, yet strikingly similar experiences. It seems to all rely on the grade level, high school, and online procedures we individually endured. It is interesting to see how some people seemed to have benefited from and ultimately liked the experience, while others plummeted academically, physically, and mentally. 

3. A technology-related skill I would like to learn is how to navigate the stock market app. I have been taught what stocks are and how to utilize them numerous times but for some reason it won't stick. I know that Apple products have a built-in app that displays the stock market. My plan is to deliberately visit this app every day to begin to orient my mind around how the companies move.

 1. The Florida Computer Science Standards for grades 6-8 is the step over the threshold where students begin to create, explore, and analyze certain elements of technology. Students in these grade levels are expected to logistically analyze and utilize technological functions such as search webs and creation platforms. An emphasized topic of study is understanding the steps to problem solve without being told explicitly, or in other words, intrinsic problem-solving.  1. Hi! My name is Brianna but most people call me Bria. Though this blog is for educational purposes, I hope to have a blog of my own one day. I love all things art, writing, music, food, and culture, especially Italian. After graduating I plan to teach English as a secondary language abroad in Italy. Blog Post 2

 1. I find that the difference in technology usage in schools lies greatly in where the school is located. For instance, I grew up in New Jersey where throughout Elementary school we used Google applications for all our work (Google Docs, Google Classroom, Google Email, etc.) When I moved to Florida for middle school, I had a rough transition to Blackboard, Word, and eventually Canvas. While I am now well-versed in all these applications, I can confidently say that I prefer Google over Microsoft. Maybe it is the familiarity since my mind's first perception of educational technology was Google. But now, even today, as I do assignments in college, I find that Google Docs has a more user-friendly outline and way fewer crashes and malfunctions than Word.  2.
