 1. The Florida Computer Science Standards for grades 6-8 is the step over the threshold where students begin to create, explore, and analyze certain elements of technology. Students in these grade levels are expected to logistically analyze and utilize technological functions such as search webs and creation platforms. An emphasized topic of study is understanding the steps to problem solve without being told explicitly, or in other words, intrinsic problem-solving. I feel prepared to educate students on this skill set because I enjoy helping people utilize their own intelligent abilities to solve problems.  I also feel prepared because I had sufficient training in these areas when I was in 6-8th grade.

2. After looking over the resources offered by CPALMS, it seems like an amazing resource that teachers can utilize as guides for their lesson plans and assignments. It never really occurred to me to consider where teachers get materials for their lessons. This definitely made it more explicit to me that teachers have resources all around them to ensure they are educating their students properly. I would utilize these resources as supplements to my teaching plans, ideas for assignments, and project inspiration.

3. Internet searching is an interesting topic of inquiry. Luckily, I had a teacher explain the parameters of Google to my class one year. As a young student, it is easy to think that Google search is a personal question answerer, who will give you the answer to all your inquiries regardless of how incoherent they are. My teacher explained to us that Google operates off of a system that recognizes words entered and their order. It then finds all results that include the words or phrases entered. This is why if you enter a non-sentence, incoherent, list of words, google will give you all the resources that have to do with the subject area of those entries. It is important to educate students on this topic, as it is knowledge that is necessary when doing research in higher education.
